Overview
– Environment: Western Higlands
– Basement rocks: Crystalline basement (Granites)
– Volcanic cover: Andesitic basalts (302 km²) and trachyrhyolites (16 km²)
-Topography: Steep escarpments, U-shaped valleys, flat or
gently inclined summits
-Target surfaces: Plateau tops and interfluves, slopes 0–10°
– Methodology: Mapping + hand made pits
Goal: Asses bauxite plateaus surface continuity and
thickness, establish a rough tonnage estimat
Key Data & Findings
* Bulk density assumed: 2.3 t/m³
Recommendations: The Nkambé-Bih-Sah-Binkaprospect exhibits ~36.9 million tonnes of
preliminary bauxite tonnage. Results support
continued exploration to validate resourcesize, grade, and economic viability. Further work should focus on drilling, geochemicalanalysis, and 3D modelling.
